Wood Lake
High on a shoulder of Huckleberry Mountain,
.. a lake so close to the sun the trout are golden.
Once Audubon's bighorn sheep summered here.
Perhaps that's why this this purple basalt point
.. lies quietly pointing the way to oblivion.
