A cold and snowy run
The snow in this place is littered
..tracks i can see... and scents
….my dog reports on...
Clearly social content...
..draws his raised leg and
….sometimes severe scuffing
Prey scents provoke
..deep nose snorting
….and digging
Hot scents drifting downslope
..deserve a raised head
….scanning the slopes
Ahhh.. fresh carrion
..a chukar left by a hawk
….is simply lunch
I am left wondering
..how many other unseen things
….escape my notice
